We will construct your coastal/lake retaining walls and vinyl bulkheads. As with our dock replacement and installation service, count on our marine construction team to listen carefully to your needs to give you a structure that lasts for a long time and makes your part of the coastline look stunning compared to that of neighboring properties.
Dealing with Property Erosion
Property erosion is primarily caused by marine borers who rot the wood within your dock and retaining wall. These mollusks or crustaceans eat through your wood causing holes in the bulkhead which allow dirt and debris to seep through. Tie rods which rot eventually can also cause your wall to collapse.
Replacing Your Bulkhead
If your retaining wall is too damaged to salvage, allow us to build and install your new retaining wall. The proper type of bulkhead not only spiffs up your property’s appearance, but, more importantly, stops land erosion and costly property damage.
Getting a “BulkHead” Start
Although our team installs retaining walls year round, we strongly recommend starting the permit process well in advance of your needed completion date. This way, we can start to build without any delay. Trust our crew to construct a tie-back system complete with dead-men tie-back helical anchors, tie rods, drag logs and pins.

Purposes of bulkheads on a ship
Bulkheads are inner walls within the hull of a ship, used to separate it into smaller compartments. These partitions are believed to have appeared in the 12th century in Chinese junks and became widely used in the western navy in the early 19th century.
We categorize bulkheads following three major characteristics: their purpose, position, or construction. Below we look in detail at each of these categories and their sub-categories, to give you a more complete view of all the different types of ship bulkheads.
