The Benefits of Custom Docks: Why One Size Doesn't Fit All
A custom dock is the best solution for any property. No modular big box store dock or other “easy” option can possibly account for all of the different factors that make docks safe, fun, and useful.
Here are some of the considerations we’ll be looking at as we build your custom dock. As you read through them, you’ll start to see why a custom dock is a great choice.

Water Line
The surface of your dock needs to be close enough to the water line to make boating, fishing, and diving easy, but far enough away from it to keep it safe from flooding or harsh weather conditions.
This means you’ll need someone to come out and measure the exact dimensions of the dock and the exact typical water line at your location so the dock can be built just right.
The Shoreline
No two shorelines are the same shape. No two properties are laid out exactly the same way.
When you build a custom dock you want a building that’s going to look great on your property, that’s going to make the most of your available space, and that provides you with the surface area and features that will allow you to do everything you want to do.
For some, this will mean a simple boat slip. For others, you’ll want a deck, built in furniture, and amazing storage options. You may want to be sure to make the dock completely accessible to a family member or a friend who is in a wheelchair. When you go with a custom builder, you gain all these options. It takes an expert to look at the space and design something that’s right for you.
We’ll pay attention to aesthetics as well, to make sure the end result is as beautiful as possible.
Materials
We build for durability and longevity. Weather conditions can be rough here in Houston, and we know you need a dock that’s going to be able to take a beating.
A prefabricated or modular dock isn’t necessarily designed for our climate, or for the severe weather we so often face. We know exactly how to build for severe storms in Seabrook, League City, Kemah, Clearlake, La Porte, Baytown, Lake Conroe, and other Texas waterfront towns.
When properly maintained, our docks can easily last for 20 years or even longer.
